A relatively popular and successful soloist during the post civil-war culture boom of the 1970s, Moutouari is one of the few contemporaries of the early Soukous era still at work today. ==Early career== Moutouari began his career in 1968 with ''The Super Band'' (later renamed Orchestre Sinza) along with his brother, Kosmos Moutouari.
